Beginning in insurance in 1987 with Johnson & Higgins, Alex Glickman's career in represented virtually every asset class and ownership structure in the real estate industry. In 1997, she launched Marsh’s Real Estate and Hospitality Practice and has led Gallagher’s Practice since 2001. In 2018 Gallagher launched the Gallagher Global Alliance Real Estate and Hospitality Practice, the first Global Industry Practice for the firm and appointed Alex as the leader.
Alex has pioneered many real estate specific insurance products and services and speaks frequently on topics ranging from real estate centric insurance issues to Diversity and Inclusivity. She has been recognized by Risk & Insurance Magazine as a “Power Broker” (Real Estate category) 11 times. Lloyd’s named her Wholesale Broker of the Year in 2007. She was also presented the “Real Estate Industry Outstanding Achievement” award by the Los Angeles County Bar Association Real Estate Section in 2012. Real Estate Forum named her one of 50 Outstanding Women in 2012, 2013 and 2014. In 2019 she was recognized by both Intelligent Insurer (UK) and the Los Angeles Business Journal as one of the “Most Influential Insurance Brokers."
